Am I giving money to the federal government?
No, but we understand your confusion. We are a federally-funded program, but your donations will go to our nonprofit,
"STARBASE, Inc."
What is STARBASE, Inc?
STARBASE, Inc. is a 501(c)3 nonprofit that provides administrative support to our three STARBASE locations in Michigan: Alpena, Battle Creek, and STARBASE One at Selfridge ANGB.
How can I donate?
You can either click on our DONATE button, which will take you to our PayPal account, or you can write a check and send it to the following address:

Can I earmark my funds to go to a specific location?
Absolutely! You can decide to give your funds to STARBASE, Inc, where they will be meant to help all three sites, or you can choose to have your donation go to a specific site. This can be done at our PayPal page or in the memo line if you are writing a check.
Is my donation tax-deductible?
Yes, since we are a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, all donations ar e tax-deductible as allowed by law. After donating, you will receive a receipt for tax purposes.
What if funding is restored? Where will donations be used?
Your donations could be used in different ways. We are always looking for more opportunities for students to participate in other ways, and covering operational costs not allowable by the DoD may help us expand in new ways. Of course, with lessons learned, ensuring program stability through financial times such as these would also be a good idea.
Back up-did you mention a place called, "STARBASE One?"
Yes, STARBASE One is the very first STARBASE program that ever existed in the United States. This national program may have 90 sites across the country, but when it comes down to it, this program is Pure Michi...are we allowed to say that?
