STEM Opportunities We Offer

Regular Academies

Teachers of 5th and 6th grades enroll their students as an entire classroom. A class attends over a five week period, one day per week. The teacher may elect to come for five consecutive Tuesdays, five consecutive Wednesdays, and so on. The visits are typically from 9 am to 2 pm. STARBASE provides all program materials, with the exception of lunch.

Summer Academies

We offer new experiences for students entering 5th or 6th grade during the summer through our Summer Academy. For previous attendees, we also offer a focused Engineering Academy.  The academy is on consecutive days from 9 am to 2 pm, Monday through Thursday. STARBASE provides all program materials except lunch. Transportation is also needed.

STARBASE 2.0

Students at Thunder Bay Junior High can benefit from our partnership to bring an after-school program directly to the school!  We meet on Tuesdays during the school year from 2:30-4:00.  Check back for details.
